The Community Foundation of Northwest Connecticut accepts grant applications three times a year. Applications are DUE IN THE FOUNDATION OFFICE (not just postmarked) by 5 p.m. on the following dates:

Holiday Grants
Each year, The Community Foundation of Northwest Connecticut awards small grants to area nonprofits that assist families of limited financial means. In 2011, the Foundation awarded $20,150 to 42 nonprofit organizations serving northwest Connecticut. Please visit our Web site in October for application information.
2011 Holiday Grants
Women & Girls Fund Grant Applications
Grants from the Women & Girls Fund are awarded annually in early autumn. Nonprofit organizations from our 20-town service area that provide programs and services for women and girls are eligible to submit applications. Please visit our website in June for details.
Edwards Community Endowment Project Applications
The Edwards Community Endowment Project is a matching-grants program created to help northwest Connecticut nonprofits establish or increase endowment funds. The project is made possible through a grant from the Marion Wm. and Alice Edwards Fund.

Heritage Grants
Thanks to a renewed funding collaboration with the Connecticut Humanities Council, The Community Foundation of Northwest Connecticut will once again award small grants in support of local initiatives that highlight our rich regional, state and national heritage. Applicants must possess 501(c)(3) status. Awards range between $1,000 and $3,000. The deadline for submissions is February 24, 2012.
