Our Community Foundation is a public charity created by and for the people of northwest Connecticut.   The Foundation pools charitable resources from a broad spectrum of local individuals, families, businesses and organizations and invests and manages those resources as a community endowment.   The idea of a community foundation is simple and inspired: create an endowment fund to benefit the common good, invest it prudently, administer it wisely, and let the yield from the principal flow back to the community.
